First Time Rider FAQ’s

  • If you are new to our studio, please arrive 10 minutes early so we can get you acquainted with the studio. Our front desk staff can guide you through check-in and introduce you to the instructor. You can store your belongings in our lockers in the reception area. Please bring a lock if you want to secure your items. From here, one of our team members will guide you into the studio and help you find your reserved bike. Next, we will help you properly set up your bike. You should expect the first class to be challenging, yet rewarding. As you acclimate to our style you will learn how to maximize your experience in class. No worries, no judgments. Just have fun!

  • You should wear tight-fitting exercise attire. Bring a water bottle to keep you hydrated during the ride or purchase one of ours. We recommend, but do not require, clip-in shoes at our studio. All of our bikes are SPD compatible. No cycle shoes? No problem. It is perfectly fine to use normal athletic shoes. If you decide to take up indoor cycling, you will want to purchase a quality pair of SPD compatible shoes. You will definitely find a difference in your experience ensuring a complete pedal stroke, in turn, creating a more efficient ride and a full use of the leg. This will lead to a more intense cardio experience and more calories burned at class. Our instructors are happy to make cycling shoe recommendations.

  • Absolutely! Cycling is a low-impact exercise with limitless potential and a great place to get started. Our style is scaleable – whether you’re a first time rider or a seasoned athlete, our classes provide maximum benefit to each rider, every time. Please let our team know it’s your first ride so we can accommodate you and make you feel most welcome. We are here to help you have the best possible indoor cycling experience.

Studio FAQ’s

  • We have been waiting for you! Our booking window opens every Saturday at noon for the next two weeks. We recommend booking your classes for the next two weeks in advance because classes fill up quick. Check out our class schedule and sign-up!

  • Cancellations must be completed online six hours before the start of your reserved class time. If you do not show up for your ride or fail to cancel six hours prior to the start of class, your credit will not be refunded.

  • Our wait list was conceived with you in mind. We want you to ride in your favorite class, so sign up! There is a good chance you will rotate in. Once on the wait-list, you will receive an email notification if a bike opens up. At that point, you are automatically enrolled in the class. Can’t make it? No problem. There is no penalty to remove yourself from the wait-list and you can do so at anytime via your account online. However, please remove your reservation if you do not plan to attend as the late cancel policy applies to your wait-list reservation. Your ride will be forfeited if you are booked from the wait-list and do not show up for your ride.

  • For safety reasons the answer is no. POPCYCLE prides itself on the experience and the safety of our riders and for that reason, we CANNOT allow riders to enter class once the ride has begun. There will be no exceptions. We want to ensure that each ride is a focused and safe experience. If you are not here five minutes before the start of class, your bike will open up to the next rider on the wait-list so we may properly set up and prepare the rider for class.

  • Cycling is a low-impact exercise that is a great place to start during recovery. You are in complete control of your ride. Please let your instructor know and they will discuss proper modifications that might be useful during your ride. As with any exercise, please consult your doctor for specific questions.

  • Exercise is an important aspect of a healthy pregnancy. Cycling can be a great form of exercise for most women since it is low impact, and we can adjust your bike setup throughout your pregnancy to keep you comfortable. We recommend you modify the intensity of our rides by maintaining control of your breath at all times, ensuring you stay hydrated, and listening to your body. And while we love seeing expectant mamas ride with us at the studio, please consult your doctor for clearance to exercise.
